ATHENS MARSEILLE
From Crisis to Collective Flow
Bless the trip
Tidalflowart is committed to exploring the action, roles, and political significance of art, design, and other creative practices in relation to the climate crisis, environmental collapse, social problems, and their multiple impacts. This institutional focus opens up a broad dialogue and creates a framework that embraces a variety of practices and allows for a multitude of voices. This commitment extends beyond borders, seeking international visibility for its partners. In this context, last October Tidalflowart was in Marseille, presenting the works of ten visual artists.
The ATHENS-MARSEILLE – Bless this Trip project is not just a geographical metaphor, but an expression of the dynamic and unstoppable desire to move forward together with others. The title, an invocation for protection and hope, sums up the search for stability and a voice that gives courage and energy. It is an attempt to build a sense of community against the chaos and isolation imposed by contemporary crises.
Southern Europe, as a key crossroads, regularly experiences abrupt changes on an ideological, ecological, and economic level, making it an ideal place to explore these issues. Art functions here as an open space for meeting and moving creative thoughts. These encounters—in cities such as Marseille, where the gravitational pull of the region is reinforced by major international exhibitions—are vital points of exchange and development.
Tidalflowart in Platforms Project 2025 presents eight of the participants from Marseille. Through a range of media, these artists convey the inner power of “Bless this Trip” and compose a clear and distinct image of contemporary Greek art that is conscious, extroverted, and committed to international dialogue. This participation is a continuation of Tidalflowart’s commitment to establishing the Greek artistic voice in the global context, confirming its collective strength.
